Hantec Markets offers Professional Trading for experienced clients who want more flexibility and enhanced capabilitiesfrom their broker.
Are You Eligible?
In order to be eligible to be categorised as a professional client with Hantec Markets, you must meet two of the three criteria below. Please select which of the following apply to you:
Have you placed 10 leveraged trades of a significant size per quarter in the last year?
Does your financial instrument portfolio, including cash deposits, exceed €500,000?
Do you, or have you, worked in the relevant financial sector for at least one year?
Important Factors
Risk Higher Leverage
Professional accounts are not subject to the leverage restrictions introduced by ESMA for Retail Clients. Higher leverage amplify losses.
Negative balance protection
Retail clients benefit from negative balance protection meaning that their losses cannot exceed deposits. This protection is not available to professional clients.
Segregated Client Funds
Your funds will be held in segregated accounts at top tier banks, in the same way we re required to hold our Retail Client funds.
Risk warnings
Hantec Markets will not be required to provide you with the current risk warnings we must provide to retail clients or any standardised risk warning that is introduced in future in relation to transactions in complex financial products. We will assume that you have the relevant knowledge and experience levels to understand the risks in trading leveraged products.
Communications and financial promotions
We may use more sophisticated language when dealing with you as a Professional Client than we do with our retail clients. However, we will always communicate in a clear, fair and straightforward way.
